Narration: three students are discussing what to have for lunch after study.

Speaker1: Hey, guys! We’ve been working on our assignment in front of the computer for almost three hours. I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely starving right now! How about we head to the school cafeteria? It has nice coffee and some food, and it’s the only nearby place if we want to get something to eat as soon as possible. We really need a quick meal to recharge our energy.

Speaker2: Honestly, I’m very hungry as well, and I don’t mind what we eat. I’m fine with anything as long as I can fill my stomach. I just want to take a break from studying and relax for a little while.

Speaker3: Oh, I really don’t want to go to the campus cafeteria. The food there always tastes terrible. Lots of students have complained that the food in the university restaurant never changed. The menu mainly consists of unhealthy options such as pizza and hamburgers, and boring sandwich and salad. Most of the cafeteria staff work part-time. How about going to a shop just outside campus instead? It’s not too far away, and the food there is pretty tasty. Many students prefer that small shop for their daily lunch.

Speaker2: I don’t really mind how the food tastes, but that store you mentioned is about a 15-minute walk away. I’m just really hungry and I want to eat as soon as possible. Walking back and forth will definitely waste our limited lunch break time.

Speaker1: I’m sorry but I definitely won’t go there! I tried their coffee before, and it was really awful. I ordered a cup there last week, and I only took one sip before giving up on it. Good coffee is essential for me to stay focused in the afternoon.

Speaker3: Alright then. Let’s just go to the school cafeteria. I know the food isn’t the best, but at least they have turkey sandwiches, so I can just order one for lunch. It is simple, light and suitable for a quick study break meal.

Speaker1: Even though the food in the school cafeteria isn’t great, after all, they make really good coffee, which is exactly what I need right now. A warm cup of coffee can help me shake off this tiredness after long hours sitting in front of the screen.

Speaker2: That makes sense for me. Quick service is my top priority at the moment. I just hope the cafeteria won’t be too crowded right now. If we hit a long queue, we will still end up waiting for ages. That would be really frustrating when we are extremely hungry.

Speaker3: Yeah, that is my only worry too. It is normally busy around noon. Still, compared with the long walk off campus, waiting for a short time inside the building is much better. Let’s pack up our laptops and notes and head over right away.
